The Lodge is designed around a central entertainment area ensuring unsurpassed views over the bush and African sunset. Since the lodge is only booked in its entirety, you’re guaranteed exclusivity and privacy. Sleeps 12.
Facilities
6 Private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, each with a view of the bushveld surroundings. Main facility with kitchen, lounge and bar area. We also offer an outdoor deck, swimming pool, fire pit, braai and jungle gym.
Dinokeng Game Reserve
Dinokeng Game Reserve is home to the big 5 and several animal and bird species. Activities in Dinokeng include game drives, bush walks, birding safaris, field guide adventures and picnics.

6 Separate bedrooms, each with a king size extra length bed and en-suite bathroom. 2 Bedrooms have a private deck overlooking the bushveld. The beds in 4 of the bedrooms can be split into single extra length beds on request.
From R8,950.00 per night for the entire lodge.

A conservation fee is payable to Dinokeng Game Reserve North on the online booking system:

The conservation fee must be paid 7 days prior to check-in, and your proof of payment emailed to info@lekkerbreeklodge.com. Please remember to have your conservation ticket to present at the Dinokeng gate and upon arrival at Lekkerbreek Lodge.

Big Five Game Viewing opportunities are available. Game drives are interpretive drives in the bush with specially adapted four wheel-drive vehicles, with the purpose of finding wildlife (including the Big Five) in their natural habitat. On a game drive you will be accompanied by a ranger – always ready with comprehensive knowledge of all wildlife, flora and fauna as well as bird life. Guided game drives or self-drives within the reserve can also be done at an additional cost.

We recently stayed at Lekkerbreek Lodge in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. The lodge is immaculate and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time around the boma area, where we enjoyed relaxing evenings by the fire. Our game ranger was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, sharing a wealth of information about the animals we encountered. We were incredibly fortunate to spot five cheetahs. Each sighting was thrilling and added to the overall excitement of our trip.

Bushveld bliss! We had an incredible stay at Lekkerbreek in Dinokeng.
The accommodation and facilities were top-notch! The layout of the whole place is perfect for families -with spacious rooms and fabulous open-plan design entertainment areas overlooking a big beautiful lush lawn with a play area- This made it so comfortable to relax and spend time with our friends, while easily keeping an eye on the kids while they play.
The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking, and the game drive offered unforgettable wildlife sightings. Whether it was the majestic animals or the stunning scenery, every moment was pure magic!
We can Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family getaway offering both adventure and comfort in a beautiful, tranquil bushveld setting. And the bonus- only an hour from Pretoria!

We recently held our year-end function at Lekkerbreek Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every evening, they had our campsite perfectly prepared—setting up wood and chairs and even starting the fire pit for us. The game drive was a highlight, thanks to the ranger, who was both knowledgeable and respectful towards the animals, making the experience of the bush even more remarkable. The lodge itself was stunning and impeccably maintained, offering a peaceful and unique atmosphere. My family and I wanted for nothing during our stay at Lekkerbreek, Dinokeng. The cleanliness, helpful and friendly staff, views and braai area were everything we could have hoped for. The kids and I enjoyed playing Marco Polo in the pool throughout the evening, then warming up at the fire Frans built for us. We saw a variety of animals on our educational game drive with Therese, including three of the big 5 (lion, buffalo, rhino) amongst several other creatures. Definitely a place worth revisiting for big groups.

We as a group of family and friends spent 3 nights at this amazing place. The facilities all worked perfectly for our group. Kitchen is well equipped and the staff are great. Salome is a sweetie and has an awesome sense of humour – we had many laughs with her. Frans was also very good at always being available to let us in and out and having the fire lit and everything kept clean and tidy after every evening around the fire pit. Our game drives and Chad our guide were amazing. Would recommend him all day everyday. Brilliant guide – professional and so knowledgeable but with a good sense of humour too. We loved our stay at Lekkerbreek Lodge and would highly recommend. We will be back!

Lekkerbreek Lodge is a simply delightful getaway. The highlight of every day was the gathering around a perfectly designed braai area, enjoying breathtaking sunsets and as it grew dark, sitting around the fire listening to the calls of the big 5. The facilities were great and all details thought of with the bushveld ambience that South Africans love and tourists travel far to experience. A 10/10 stay only 1.5 hours from our Jozi home. We’re already planning our next visit!

Lekkerbreek is ‘n ongelooflike plek vir ‘n lekker familie naweek! Dit is perfek uitgelê met n boma in die middel van die kamers en kuier area wat baie gerieflik is as jy jong kinders het. As jy wakker word na ‘n goeie nagrus, is die hele plek mooi skoon gemaak deur die vriendelike werkers. 5 STARS FOR LEKKERBREEK LODGE! What an amazing discovery – Lekkerbreek Lodge! It’s the ideal peaceful getaway for families or friends looking to unwind. The attention to detail is exceptional, with July and Salome always on hand to assist with anything you might need. The bedrooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-kept. The kitchen and bar area are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need – no need to bring a thing. The living spaces are flexible and inviting, whether you’re gathering for a meal indoors, out on the patio, or around the boma under the stars. There are more than enough fridges to keep everyone’s drinks cold, plus plenty of freezer space too! We also enjoyed an unforgettable game drive, where we were lucky enough to see lions, rhinos, and even some bushpigs – a rare sighting! Firewood can be arranged through July and Salome, and Salome kept everything sparkling clean throughout our stay. The lodge was immaculate from start to finish. I highly recommend Lekkerbreek Lodge and can’t wait to return next year for another relaxing bush escape!

We’ve returned to this lodge a few times now, and it never disappoints. The entire property is perfectly equipped for self-catering, making it easy to feel at home. The communal spaces—especially the boma with its inviting outdoor seating and the shared lounge—are ideal for gathering as a group, whether it’s for a braai or a late-night catch-up.
The private en-suite bedrooms are thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Being tucked away from the communal areas, they offer a peaceful retreat when you need some downtime from the crowd.
The staff are always friendly and ready to assist, adding to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The combination of well-appointed accommodation, practical self-catering facilities, and the lodge’s tranquil surroundings creates the perfect setting to truly unwind and recharge.

Ek het nou al in baie plekke gebly maar Lekkerbreek is die beste nog ooit! Alles was net perfek! Die kamers was so mooi, stylvol en skoon. Ons wil ook komplimenteer op die fasiliteite in die kombuis, kroeg ens. Om selfs kombuisskêre te hê was die kersie op die koek!
Dan wil ek ook noem dat Salome en July die wonderlikste personeel is. Vriendelik en baie hulpsaam. Salome is baie pittig en ons het haar baie geniet.
Ons almal was in bewondering oor jul plek. Ek sal definitief weer bespreek. Nogmaals dankie vir alles!
